High Maintenance Pooch
Our poor Bella is plagued with allergies of every kind. Scratching, digging and generally miserable we (I) took her to the vet, once again......
$260 later (oops, David didn't know all these details) we came home with 3 kinds of pills and a bottle of eye drops. The meds were for a bacterial skin infection, yeast infection, gooky eyes and an antihistamine. Now I have never claimed for her to be the brightest puppy in the litter BUT she sure knows when we are trying to slip her a pill. I am posting the process to get her to take her meds. We have to slice cheese, sprinkle the pills on it, heat in the microwave, mix and mash carefully camouflaging so she doesn't know what we are 'slipping' her.
Did I mention we are doing this for 10 days?

The Big Crash
We have not updated our blog for quite some time..... our new computer, well fairly new, crashed and we lost all of our precious information. The computer was too new to worry about backing up the data. We thought we had plenty of time to worry about a computer that might die. WRONG!!! So having explained why we haven't updated our blog for many months we now have no excuse for not doing it!
We will be posting pictures of our new storage spaces for food storage. We are getting very creative at our house. We will also be posting the progress on our kitchen. I will be so relieved when the cabinets are painted. Then I will want to replace the countertops. Poor David..... a husband's work is never done : )
Ok off to the kitchen to cut up and can chicken. What a perfect Saturday.....

Redecorating.......before & after
The remodeling and redecorating are ongoing. Here is a picture of the before and after above our bed. I wanted the lettering to standout on the wall so I just got our the clear caulking and 'glued' the glass in the frame. The decorating is a slow process and once I decide what I want to put where, I hopefully won't change my mind for awhile.

And then there was light
Anyone that has been to our house knows that the lighting could use a little help. We decided since we were already remodeling it made sense to put in recessed lights above the bathroom sink and above our bathtub in our downstairs bathroom.
I will now be choosing new paint colors. I am thinking black cabinets and light grey/brown walls with creamy white trim/ceiling. Let me know what you think.
Orange U Jealous?
More pictures of our closet. We are getting so excited. Today the sub floor went down. We designed the shell of the closet and ordered it from EasyClosets.com. Did I say we are excited!! Yes we are. The dimensions of our 'room' ended up being 10'-6" x 10' +. Thats the size of a bedroom. There will be plenty of room for all of our clothes. Lots of shelves, drawers, places for many of my shoes, 2 built in hampers & a folding (& swiveling) ironing board.

We've had a busy Summer
OK, so we're doing this blog thing kind of backwards. Here are some pictures of Carly, our granddaughter when she came to visit. She loves horses and it just so happens that Kaity, Ben's fiance has a horse and they went riding.
We volunteered at the Bishop's Storehouse and Carly got to help number the boxes that came in from the delivery truck. She is standing next to Sister Walwork. She & her husband are in charge of the storehouse.
The next stop is pictures of Carly and our sailboat at Lake Millerton. Here are pics of our 1st Annual 4th of July Neighborhood breakfast which we hosted.
